Canadian Firearms Safety Course &
Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course
“Understanding Firearms - How they Work - How to Safely Use Them”
Both the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC) are designed to assist you in developing the knowledge and skills essential to become a safe firearms handler.

Through discussion, demonstration and a series of practical exercises each student will be introduced to:
- The various types of non-restricted firearms. [rifles & shotguns]
- The various types of restricted firearms. [handguns]
- Various types of ammunition.
- Safe firearm handling, both in the field and at the range.
- Safe loading and unloading methods.
- Safe storage, transport and display methods.
- Canadian Firearm Laws & Regulations.
The CFSC and the CRFSC can be taken individually or together and are offered as either a weekend or special weekday group course.
Weekend Firearm Course
The CFSC and/or CRFSC weekend course runs Friday evening, from 6:30pm to 10:00pm and then Saturday from 8:30am to 4:00pm to complete the CFSC. The CRFSC begins Sunday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Exams are conducted immediately following each course. Students may however choose to participate only in either the CFSC or the CRFSC but some restrictions may apply with regard to the CRFSC. As class size is limited to a maximum of 6, early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment.
Special Group Firearm Course
The CFSC and/or CRFSC are also offered over a 3-day weekday session but for group sessions only. Please call to arrange for your group.
The CFSC begins on Monday from 9:00am to 5:30pm and then Tuesday from 9:00am to 12:00. The CRFSC begins Wednesday at 9:00am and finishes 4:00 pm. Examinations follow the courses in each case. Students may however choose to participate only in either the CFSC or the CRFSC but some restrictions may apply with regard to the CRFSC. Alternative dates/times can be arranged, Please call for details.
Note: Minimum Class size: 4 students; Maximum Class size: 6 students

Each student is provided at the course with:
1) Study package with practice tests
2) Firearms Licence application form. (PAL)
3) Firearm Licence photograph (taken at the course)
